From Zero to Trainee

My knowledge and career have been transformed since I started working at Intraway less than a year ago and I want to share my experience with you.

Up until 2020, I was a tennis instructor. As the Covid pandemic prevented me from going to the tennis club in March of 2020,  I was teaching online tennis lessons. As I had some free time between classes, I decided to research courses on programming languages.
It was something that I wanted to do for a long time as I have always had an interest in computers. So, as a result, I took a Java course for non-programmers and did not stop studying after that.
A few more courses later, I applied for a systems engineering degree in March 2021.

First Steps At Intraway

After teaching tennis for six years, I asked myself whether I wanted to be stuck in that place or make a significant change in my life: working as a trainee for a telecommunications company without previous experience in the telecommunications industry or the necessary technical skills.

In the beginning, I was full of doubts, enthusiasm, and eager to learn.
At Intraway, they welcomed me with training videos about the company and courses, which helped me understand the company’s core.

While I felt very lost the first couple of days, I didn’t give up, and thanks to the entire team that always offered help, I was able to move forward and incorporate the necessary knowledge.

There were times when I asked myself: What am I doing here?
However, my conviction and determination to get ahead in every situation were always greater.

I came here to fulfill my dream of becoming a developer, and I intend to do just that. It is my daily reminder.

Several trainings later, my first support ticket arrived. I was very excited because I would be able to show that I could start working on a real case after all the practice. It was my opportunity to analyze a support case and provide a solution to add more experience.

After a lot of work and in-depth analysis, plus the help of my colleagues, I successfully achieved what, for me, represents one of the most significant achievements to date.

Today, I feel fortunate to be part of a company that has a team that always looks out for the needs of others, both professionally and personally.
Intraway is an engine of dreams, and I am delighted to be able to fulfill my own here.
